In 2020, I was accepted as a member of the Audio Engineering Society.
My interest in recording surfaced at the age of five: I recorded an improvised play with my younger brother. Tape recorders became cassette decks, and my eight-track Portastudio recorder gave way to digital audio workstations.
Ever since, I have been on stage, mixed in small venues, recorded music and refined my abilities in mixing and mastering. I have even learned digital signal processing and programmed my own audio plug-ins.
There are heated debates on whether analogue or digital technology is better. I think this misses the point – the real magic lies in the amalgam of both technologies! So I have set out on an odyssey to survey and traverse these boundaries…
